My Family's "Surf Shack" couldn't have a better location. The Beach is an easy walk - Just 4 houses from the 6th Street Beach Access. East Beach offers beautiful sandy beaches at both high and low tide, unlike many parts of Saint Simons Island. The neighborhood is great for walking or biking. We always leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. And it doesn't hurt to be less than one mile from Fantastic Restaurants and Shopping

The Kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances. It has everything you need to prepare delicious meals. Includes a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, Keurig, and toaster. (Along with all the dished you'd expect)

There is a Dining Room with a Large Table seating 6.

The Outdoor Spaces shine with a wonderful Outdoor Shower. You will also find a large front and back yard perfect for games, kids, and the dog. There is an additional small seating area with a Charcoal Grill.

The Living Room seats 7 to 8 people comfortably. There is a Large TV. We mostly use it for Games and Movie Nights when we've spent the day at the beach and can hardly move.

Restaurants (all within one mile):
Crabdaddy's Seafood Grill: Enjoy delicious seafood in a casual atmosphere. This is probably the island's most consistent reseraurant.
Beachcomber BBQ & Grill: A beloved local dive bar known for its great BBQ and even better company.
Barrier Island Brewery: They have some of the Best Bar Food anywhere, but don't let that detract from their Beer - This is the place to come for craft beer on Saint Simons Island.
There are more, but these are tried and true personal favorites.

This is a single level cottage with all bedrooms on the main floor.

All in all, the Surf Shack is a really special place on Saint Simons. We managed it with love for many years. Emmons Realty handles the home now, but trust us, you'll be in excellent hands with them.

Please note: The Golf Cart is electric, travels at 14 mph and is not intended to travel outside of the East Beach neighborhood. The golf cart is provided at no additional charge and is included as a courtesy to enhance your stay. No refunds or compensation will be issued in the event of a golf cart malfunction. (But this is almost never a problem)

Every one of our properties is furnished with a “starter kit” of supplies so that you don't have to run to the store at the start of your vacation.

Cancellation Policy:
60+ days from arrival - 100% refund
31-60 days from arrival - 50% refund
0-30 days from arrival – 0% refund

Inside of 60 days, reservations cannot be rescheduled for any reason

Cancellations will be charged a $65 cancellation fee
(without exception, even for same-day cancellations)

To protect your vacation investment and avoid deposits lost to cancellation, Emmons Realty strongly recommends the purchase of Travel Insurance.

Deposit Policy:
$500 will be charged to your card at the time of reservation, a deposit which will be applied directly to your rental cost. The remainder will be charged automatically, 30 days prior to your arrival. If you’ve contacted us through Homeaway or VRBO, you will be responsible for their additional fees. Our online calendar is updated automatically, and all quotes are accurate and include all fees. No refunds will be granted for early departure.

Pet Policy: Properties designated as pet-friendly require a $99 non-refundable pet fee. Only dogs are accepted. Cats are not allowed. Emmons Realty accepts a maximum of 2 dogs, with a maximum weight of 65lbs per dog. Dogs must be at least 1 year old. We cannot allow pit bulls. No exceptions will be made for any part of this policy. Please pick up after your pet, the deposit does not pay for our housekeepers to clean up the yard.
