This St. Simons vacation rental is four houses from the 6th Street beach access—which means your walk to the ocean takes less time than deciding on sunscreen. The Surf Shack is a one-level, three-bedroom vacation home that sleeps up to 8, with real charm and real upgrades: a screened-in porch, two king bedrooms, a bunk room for the kids, a kitchen that shows up when dinner’s your job, and an included golf cart for lazy rides to Gould’s Inlet, Ocean Motion for bike rentals, or Beachcomber BBQ when the grilling just doesn't fit into the day.

Inside, the living room has leather seating, a smart TV with Roku, and plenty of space for a beach-decompression binge—or a few episodes of White Lotus before you pass out in salt-crusted pajamas. The dining table seats six and sits just off the kitchen, which includes butcher block countertops, stainless appliances, and both a Keurig and a drip coffee maker. There’s also a full laundry nook, two full bathrooms, and an outdoor shower for rinsing off the sand without dragging it inside.

Out back, you’ll find palm-lined grass, a charcoal grill, and a shady little spot for lunch or a post-beach nap. This dog-friendly beach rental is perfect for families, couples, or anyone who wants to walk to the sand, live like a local, and keep things easy.

    Such a great week at the Surf Shack! The house was perfect for our family and our dog. Plenty of room to spread out and relax and to hang out together. The owner is so responsive and attended to our every need. The short walk to the beach is easy to make, but having access to the golf cart is an added bonus. The house was immaculate when we checked in! We are already checking our schedules to plan our next trip back. Thanks so much for a relaxing week!

    We are from the Northeast US and winters can be so long, get skies and cold for much of January and February. It was a relief to be able to come to sunny Georgia for a month. We contacted Emmons and we were not disappointed with our rental. It was clean and decorated nicely. We were only a 5 minute walk from East Beach and a short cart ride to the Village. Everything went smoothly and we will definitely contact Emmons again for any future stays. Thank you!!!
